It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Umm, Howdy.

Sorry I haven't been quite so active lately. Or, as some may put it, I seem to have utterly abandoned dA. My schoolwork has trumped my social [media] life for the first time. Ever. In my entire school career. Ever. Who knew being an art major would be so taxing??? Seriously, I got my degree in computer science with less hassle. Am I putting too much into it? It is community college...

Maybe, just maybe, now that school's out for winter break, I can get something done that I actually want to do. My message box is pitiful to say the least, but I plan on fixing that soon--sorry if I don't thank everyone for faving from way back in mid-November. I really do appreciate the faves!!
